So what's it like? The feeling of getting a proper civic/integra and taking it, making it your own and modifying it?

What's the sensation?

I still smile driving mine but what does modding your cars mean to you guys?

Ha u always put up interesting threads u must be mad to bump up ur posts so u can sell stuff lol

Its very expensive heart breaking and tiring but then when u drive it its all worth it (i think haha) What helps is when pepole compliment ur car or ask u will sell it :woot:

I'm not looking to sell anything :) Just think it's cool getting peoples views on different things. I'm still young and have much to learn so having a nosey into what people think can be a real eye opener.

Apologies if it seems I do it for the post count haha

Something that sits in my garage, costing me money to do nothing. However on the occasion that I do drive it, it kicks gigantic ass.

90% CBA/hate it
10% ****ing winning!

Love having/driving my ITR. Although I've spent more pounds on it than KM's I have driven it, need to do more driving this summer I think!

Nothing like that first drive after some quality parts have been fitted or noticing the difference the parts/setup have made on the circuit.

I see my car as more a hobby/toy and It's an event every time I get to use it, gets limited use as it's a second car which I like as you appreciate it when you do use it, couldn't bare to drag it through the daily grind all year round.

That sounds awesome :) I think the most excited I've been was when I passed my driving test. I was just so happy that I'd opened up a whole new world and getting my civic was pretty much the exact same feeling.

I'd imagine waiting on a list of parts to arrive must feel better than christmas when you know it's actually going to make a substantial difference.

I want a type R

As above really. Mine is a complete money pit.
Done around 130miles in it since I bought it and I've spent way over x20 that in £ in parts.
All worth it though, as said before these cars are an experience everytime you get in.
When I crashed the 1st one and broke all the parts I could have had any car I wanted at or under £6500-£7000. I still chose to buy a 98 civic hatchback over all the cars you can get for 7k.

I'm guessing the EK9's and DC2's are cars that, once you own one, you never look back?

For me the ek9 is ATM yes.
If you love driving and don't have a hate for fwd they are great.

Function is the reason for modification to the cars I play with.

Money pit - Hate it but I do it because I love her.
Vtec -I love you but no torque
Noisy - Love it but hate long journeys
Handling on rails - Love her for it but hate speed bumps and uk roads
Stripped - Love it but adds to noise

As you can see its a love hate relationship and a very complicated one, why during most of the week I cheat on her with her third removed cousin the Golf.
