hey,

i have just fitted my tenzo r cold air induction but i am unsurehot to secure it as it comes with a bit of metal in the shape of an L and a straight piece but no place to bolt it to the kit

any one know what to do other that get a better kit lol

If you decide against that option though, the smaller side of the L bracket should sit between the rubber neck of the filter and the jubilee clip that sits round the filter neck

aside from fabricating new brackets from scratch i think burning it is also a good route to go down

hmmm really? to be honest I tried many other types of intakes before, but they seem to perform the same. at the end of the day filter is just a filter. unless the design of the pipe is stupid, again pipe is a pipe. it will depend on where its place, diameter etc (unless its a whole new design like the J's, mugen, etc) a aem pipe with a filter on the end, and a custom made pipe with the same diameter piping with a filter on the end will perform very similar, if not the same. just my opinion from past experience

yes in a way but pipe efficiency is a bit factor although moreso on turbo cars

a turbo car on a bad hardpipe setup on high boost can often make less power than a good effiently sized and smooth flowing hard pipe setup on less boost

its more the brand tenzo R that i dislike

the kit is probably just as good as my J's

im just a massive brand whore

oh I see :) hahah yeah I must admit the genuine ones will almost always have better quality and finish. but performance wise, maybe similar. so many knockoffs these days and they are getting better at making them ! hahah but yea negative jdm points for tenzo intake hah
