Possibly buyin one takata harness got the four crosses on stitching and the bolt is silver not bronze so comparing to the fakes vs real iv seen they seem good

But.... I am very wary lol they say fia approved to 2017 is that to far ahead, as most seats/harnesses I see are only 3 years ahead?

Also they say takata corporation under takata this is the thing that to me seems to possibly point out fake as iv not seen many reals with this under it.

Help appreciated so I dont end up killing myself, I will need them fia approved as i plan on racibg in next few years so if fakes I dont want :)

Thanks in advance

Hmm 2017 seems quite far ahead indeed, good spot. mine end 2015 iirc.

Are they the very new takata harnessss? I know new ones are out which arnt the mph series type.

Does the centre hub look alright, correct colour with carbon fibre peice? Try get some pictures up mate

We are official TAKATA distributors

As of now TAKATA do a totally new range, see our website for more info

Thanks

the new ones just say takata, older ones say racing corporation, so going by the FIA date they sound fake!

Hmm possibility they could be fake, any way you can post a pic?

as you can see the bolt looks good short and right colour, and the clasps also seem correct. but its the 2017 also not seing the buckle seems unusual

what kind of scruteneering do they go through for race days? as in do i need a certificate or will they check them over for certain things?

fake is top, real is bottom, judging from your picture it looks like its a fake as the metal doesnt look right and it has a black buckle. With something like a harness i wouldnt be buying anything thats not 100% i mean its there to protect you, do you really what to chance the buckle coming undone in a crash....

IMO There are plenty of other harness makers out there that are just as good, if not better than takata and dont have the JDM scene tax associated with them.

well the main thing i want is fia approved so not really that fussed on the name i just like the takata harnesses and if there fia approved they will be of at least fia safty regs so they wont just come off in a crash.

yea real ones will be FIA approved, but the fake ones are just a badge sown onto the harness.. That's why I'm saying make sure you get a real set of harnesses regardless of the maker.
