not 100% sure if this goes here or not. Im looking for veiw and opinions on 2 swaps. i know they have been done before and there pretty costly, but what does everyone have to say about either a Nissan powered SR20 fwd swap or a 20B sequential turbo swap? i love the way a 20B sounds at idle. when modded not stock.
 
lol no one has n e thing to say on swaping either of these 2 motors into a hatchie?
 
When you say 20B you mean the 3 rotor wankel engine? If this is what you mean i would choose this engine! I don't know if this engine could be made to a fwd tranny... For what car do you want it? because i saw that you have a 93 240SX why not to make it as it is a rwd engine?
 
Both of those ideas are retarded, the SR20 belongs in a tractor and do have any clue how expensive a twin turbo 20B is? Let along how utterly hopeless it would be in a front wheel drive car!
 
lol why stick to things that are being done over and over. retarded..... no, impractical.....yes ill give u that one. and they can go in a hatch with a rsx tranny and a plate between them. and sheesh, someone isnt in a good mood today are we :((
 
mawticulous i hope that you can do that to see it too mate good luck but Kozy just saying isn't worth so much for the amount of the money it costs...
 
if money is not a problem then go ahead with it but personally i think is a waste of money and time
 
hey guys, I have a 98 ek and I am looking to swap out my b16a. Would anybody be able to help me out by giving me some advice on what engine would be more reliable? Im looking at a gsr or the h22 swap. any advice would help.

yes i had a preference for that one to. The only thing i hear bad about the h22's are that the transmissions are garbage. Is that true?

thats why they sell the h to b kits so you can install a b series tranny
 
O really i heard something like that. Do u know how much it would roughly be to change the tranny over?

No not really, it's ridiculous that's why. Do you realise that a 20B is the rotary equivalent of a 4.0 V8? Are you telling me that a FWD 4.0 V8 twin turbo Civic is realistic? To me it sounds like the daydreams of an 11 year old Max Power reader.
 
Woah lol calm down peeps. I said it was impractical. I'm gonna run out and spend 15k to do this. I just wanted to see what people think about it. All I said was I like the sound of the 20b sheesh. Lol I ask a question and people start to get huffy like I'm attacking them.
 
Dont bother with sr20 the b-series engines are a million times better, rwd 20b civic would be bad ass though
 
would any of you guys knows what is a good kit to use to switch the tranny to a b series one?
