Basically I have a '99 SWB 2.2 Petrol Frontera I use as my daily and for a bit of fun off roading.... I bought it off some one not knowing who had owned it previously but later found out who it was owned by, and my heart sank.....it's had basically a VERY tough life, the engine has had a "ragging" to say the least, it's had 2 head gaskets and now this one is on its way out as well as its almost over heating around town and that.....
It's too clean a 4x4 in my mind to just scrap it, it's only done 75,000 miles, so considering doing the work on it to get it good again and replacing all the parts that would have seen "abuse". Will also be nice to work on some thing else other than Honda to gain some more experience with other cars.
Does anyone know for the 2.2 Petrol engine for it and gearbox/transfer box would be good too from a low mileage Frontera? Would also be interested in other parts if their available such as suspension units, exhaust system and the fuel tank (mine has some rust).
If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be brilliant!
