Hi,

I would be interested in buying the crankshaft and the rods if you willing to split, cause I would rather keep my original pistons...

cheers,

Balazs

I'd be worried to send the crank and rods all the way to Hungary in case they get damaged but I'll get in contact with you if I find a way of packaging them to ensure they are safe on such a long journey.

no, need to send it to hungary, cause I have a UK address aswell in London.. so that would be great for me aswell.. could you tell me something about its condition?

so are they b18 pistons ??? and what do you get ?? and what would i need for it to be a complete b18b

They are EK9 pistons which give higher compression than DC2 pistons. You get pistons, rods and crank. You would need a block which I can sell with it for an extra £50 and all the sensors and bits I removed and bagged up for reassembly but that would mean shipping would be more expensive. You'd also need new bearings and gaskets.

thanks for getting back so would i see a differance to my stock b16b ??? also would this work good with some upgraded cams i wanted stage 2 cams well a complete cam kit ??? sorry for all the questions im not clue'd up on this :angry2:

With this kit installed into your B16B block you essentially have a B18C but with EK9 pistons, which will give you a higher compression ratio than a standard B18C, just like CW said

would i need to change the throttle body n ecu to run this ???

Don't need to change the TB no but you would need the B18C ECU or after market such as Hondata. Do a search :nice:

I also have a 70mm throttlebody and inlet manifold I can sell for £220 delivered, but it's not needed for a rebuild like this, a stock DC2 one would be ideal. If you change the pistons from EK9 to DC2 pistons you'd be able to run it on a standard ITR ECU but since you want stage 2 cams you'd also be needing a mappable ECU so EK9 pistons could stay if there are no clearance issues.

If you're going to the expense of a rebuild then you'd be better off with new oversized pistons of your choice imo, the price takes into account the pistons as a freebie as most people would just resell them for a few quid or chuck them.

But like people have said, lots of info on the forum on it.

their shudnt be any clearence issues with the cams they are direct fit also i would run it on a hondata ecu so would this all work then or if i ran it on the normal cams for now with the b18 bottom then cam it at a later date i just want it more agressive and faster realy i find it feels bit flat out of vtec needs more torque so i defo want to do sumert to help this ???
