Ste's S2000

Pics from my Anglesey track day 6th April with exiges.com

Really good day, international GP circuit. My best previous lap time with the car standard (apart from Toyo R888 and front ferodo DS2500 pads) was 1:50.6sec, with the new suspension etc i got it down to 1:45.9 so was pretty happy with that.

Really showed up a few exige/exige S etc. I also drove my mates modified exige S2 too and there was less than a second difference in lap times between that and the S2000.

I did end up cracking a front disc though!

Quick video of chasing caterham R300 race car and mates insane modified elise diesel!

Another lap or two before a friends K-series race exige blew the engine!

Did you buy these seats from Nick?

S2k looking sweet!

No I didn't mate, I had them imported.

Thanks guys was a right pain in the arse to fit! No bride subframes available until around xmas! so i fabricated some custom adapter brackets.

The rain has held off enough for me to give the car a quick wash, so a few roof down pics......

Just looking in to a roll bar now as i cant leave the harness's mounted as they are, the factory seat belt is still fine to use though.

Just read this start to finish, awesome project. Clearly had a huge amount of £££ invested into it.

Now is the time to bite the bullet and turn it into a dedicated track car ;)

Out of interest, did you notice much of a difference from the brake ducting?

Thanks :)

Don't say that, I've been strongly considering making it a track only car and entering the vtec challenge. It's super mint condition though so it would be a shame to do to this car, plus I'd need to get another daily driver and store it somewhere.

The brake ducts most certantly increased pad life on track, and I haven't cracked another disc yet since fitting them, but I guess time will tell! I should be back at oulton park 7th feb so shall see how they hold up

Lovely car mate with a great list of modifications. I'm split regarding the spoiler, with the roof up I love it but with the roof down it just looks a bit odd.

I like the brake ducting, how has it held up through use, has it survived the movement well? I can see you've left slack for the movement and it is a flexible pipe but wondered as I have been considering something similar myself.

Just read through this, and have to say you have done a good job on the car mate :nice: its amazing what a front lip, bit of lowering and some nice wheels can do to the look of a car :) also nice seats!

It seems to be a bit of marmite part, but its the more rare factory option for the S2000 so I like it for being a tad bit different. I also love it with my hardtop on looks spot on IMO.

The ducts are wearing very well, with no tears or holes in as of yet. Just be sure to use really good quality hose, it's not cheap but it will last.

Thanks buddy :)

I know what you mean mate, as long as you like it, and at least I'd like the spoiler in winter lol

Cheers for the info buddy, will give it a bit more though now its a sound idea in practice.
