has anyone ever had the plesure of trying to fit an rear anti-roll bar from st suspension??

its an off shoot of KW so i read.. :nono:

im a mechanic buy trade and for the life of me cant work it out .....

if u hold if where it sould sit the ends hit the shocks!!! :angry2:

its to go on a 96' civic hatch by the way... it had a OEM bar allready ..

any help would be great.. but pics would be better :nice:

cheers in advance Banzai :D

mine fit perfectly, which one are you useing? what size is it? my 22mm rear went on without a fuss "nice" my front 24mm bar needed some reworking to the brackets though...

my rear bar looks nothing like the one u've got fitted in that pic !!!

was yours at least the same kind of shape that the original was ??

mine is nothing like it ... :wow:

it goes arcoss the car and where yours bends at 90deg mine is more like 45deg !!!

i think i may hav the wrong bar ... hahaha

i got it from tokyo express .

if you still have the box or instructions can you please tell me the part number on that bar you have. my car did not come with a factory rear bar so i dont know what the factory one looked like.

o.k the part no. on the bar is 51145.

its one of the new bars

its green. it came with a fitting kit and the part no. matches the one on the bar and it say civic with a large year range

92' 95' and 96' 00' mines in the latter..

hope this helps ...... and works ... haha

yeah it is .... after looking at it again and just trying loads of different ways of fitting it it looks like it does in that pic... but instead of drilling holes in my chassis  im gonna get a mate to make me sum alloy brakets made up to fit it nice and tidy ...

the the thing i think was throwing me is i have to turn the shock legs around to mount the braket on the shock... no big deal .

thank 4 all ya help mate ...

nice engine by the way... whats that thing running ???? :nice:

im running JDM teg type-r engine and gearbox in mine ... :D

i have a b16b head, b16a block rebuilt with low compression pistons, b16b gearbox and a GT3076R turbo pushing .8bar.

never seen a bar fitted like that before. did u not get the brackets with the kit for fitting it

yeah it cums with two 'L' shaped brackets but part of the problem was u hav to hav the car with the suspension compressed i.e on the ground. to get the bar over the lower arms...

it cums with a set of new 'D' bushes but u hav to drill the chassis to fit them ... whick i dont fancy doing so im havin sum spacer plate made up so its a simple bolt on bolt off job :p

that engine it awesome mate ... what sort of power does it make ????

thats actually pretty normal, your adding a part that was not there before! your going to have to add some holes, thats what i did for my ST 22mm

there was an anti roll bar there before in this instance, a well engineered product should retain the stock mouintings :nice:
