This weekend i should hopefully get a few jobs done.
Lowered additional 10mm on the front
front fog covers fitted (properly) and colour coded
Possibly fit colour coded bump strips and handles (see how im feeling)
Ok so alot of todays plans where scrapped cause of the weather,
I did however manage to get some paint sorted curtosy of Halfords, £48.62 later i have 2 cans of grey plastic primer, 2 cans of B-90P Supersonic pearl, 1 can of clear laqure.
Foglight covers off for colour coding, the bolts that hold them are on are semi-drilled out and full seized (one of todays jobs, not done)
A few little pieces waiting to go which i am not looking forward to doing! Any takers?
Foglights up and given the first layer of primer.
Any got a spare debadged front grill?
Ok so after Saturdays plans where scuppered cause of the weather i was determined to get some damn paint sprayed today.
A few old shoe laces and the inside of a garage door later my D.I.Y spray booth was complete (after a bollocking from Mum that is)
Although the holding bolts for my foglights are still seized on it didnt stop me spraying the covers.
Drying in the sun....
1 more coat of colour and a coat of laquer and there done.
Gona be slow process due to the size of my garage..
So today has been a productive day (of sorts)
The front splitter and fogs have been lacquered and finished, now on the car.
However the front shock is still being a tosser and refuses to budge! So im still on stlilts (not quite, but!)
My paints job on the rear lip was abit rushed so subsiquently needs redoing as paint has bubbled!!
Shock is now unseized and sitting level! (still not low enough )
Colour coded bumpstrips are on minus the handles, i'll explain shortly...
First job of the day was to get that seized coilover unseized! So i got it out and clamped the spring to take the pressure off the bottom adjuster, flew to k20stus for the use of his vice, hammer and ALOT of wd-40!
Needless to say it give in before i did! FTW!
Second job of the day was bumpstips and doorhandles! Which k20stu did the most of cause me and interiors dont get on!
Neither of us knew how to swap doorhandles so for now there still on, when i get my new skirts and paint them i'll swap shirts and doorhandles in one go.
My rusty ass trim remover i made at college 4 years ago, did the trick nicely.
Rear lip still isnt sitting right! Might have to get a new one, Front end still needs to come down abit(lot).. Front bumper will be filled and sprayed in a week or two!
