Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone knows how to get the SRS off in the dash without just simply taking the bulb out? lol

It's just MOT is getting strict over here now as we have Government ran MOT centres unlike in the mainland where you can just go to independent garages.

But, the new rules are there are not allowed to be any dash lights burning like SRS for example and it has to illuminate on start up then go off again for example.

Anyone with an aftermarket wheel find any way's around this?

Any help is much appreciated.

Cheers
Kris

either buy a resistor and wire it up or take the cluster out and unplug the yellow plug! remember to unplug the battery before unplugging the SRS

I bought a Works Bell hub two days ago and it comes with a resistor to eliminate the srs light. The light comes on at start and goes off shortly after.

If it will pass inspection here it should pass anywhere.

FYI, the part you need is shown in this image. It's the one with the yellow clip.

So If I simply unplug the yellow plug the light will remain out?

Read that HT thread about the resistors seem's I try it anyway, Anyone done it?

yeah! my old steering wheel had a resistor or something but when i got a new cluster put in, and plugged in the yellow plug, the SRS lit up. so i took off the cluster again and just unplugged the yellow one (and the orange one for ABS lol)

My car has a fancy boss with resistors inside it, had it all apart today, but light is still on.

But from May in N.I now apparently, A car with no drivers airbag and a passenger one is a fail. So looks like the passenger one is coming out too and being replaced with a tray :nice: No need for an SRS light when there's no airbags lol.

Hey guys, Quick question? Where do I unplug the pass airbag from?

Behind the console behind cupholders?

Only thing thats holding the c**t in lol.

Yehh think after May here, your not allowed just one airbag, so both or none, none seem's easier lol.

And you just go down to county hall, it's £55 and you fill out paperwork, Need a valid insurance certificate to register it but, hence why I ain't got mine done yet lol.

And think you can maybe just MOT after it's been registered, You keeping it parked up until summer? Should get some pic's up man!
