Hi, just wandering if anyone has fitted these and have they noticed any difference with them. Im doing motorsport engineering and know all about roll centres and ride heights and so on. Just checking does it warrent spending 150 on them for a road/track car.

PS does anyone know are there any companys producing uprated ball joints beside these ones.

Cheers JP

do they are they worth fitting to the car, do u know anyone with them fitted. cheers

I think that the most important is to know how to adjust them afterwards. And then if you don't have an R to be able to find the fine setting for high grip performance.

Hardrace do them too for a fair bit cheaper.

Depends how low your car is TBH. look under the car and if the front wishbones are beyond horizontal and pointing up then yes they would be worth it to correct this

they do not need to be adjusted. However, you must not fit them to a car that has not been lowered.

This will adversely affect the geometry. RCAs are intended to compensate/correct for the roll center that has been messed up when the car is lowered. Currently, the method to counteract roll is to fit stiffer and stiffer springs but while this is effective to some degree, it causes an undesirable level of harshness on the road and on the track.

What many tend to notice after fitting RCAs is that the ride harshness has gone down with the roll reduced and some may even be able to fit softer springs as a result.

Crap i might buy them just for that alone!!

so what you mean is that you experience softer ride only with rcas installed?

the softer ride of the RCAs are due to the ability to use a softer spring but maintain the same about of roll resistance of a stiffer spring.

In effect, the best of both worlds.

So could it be said that adding the RCA and keeping your current spring rate could have the benefit of stiffer springs but without actually increasing the stiffness of the springs?

i like the sound of these a lot.
so i have lowered my car just on springs by about 40-45 mm and it has stiffened it up a lot but has made a bit of a harsh ride. with these it will make it like how my car use to be but still stiffer and less roll?

how much can i get these for mfactory? lol

cheers lads this is a great help, i knew the basics but needed to know hd anyone tried em.

I'll try and a bit more clear on this.

if you've lowered your car with a 10kg spring and you install the RCAs, your ride quality may improve slightly but it will not suddenly feel like it is 8kg or softer sprung.

Then what's this talk about ride quality getting better?

With the RCAs installed on a 10kg spring, you will get what may amount to the roll resistance of a 12kg spring. If you install softer 8kg springs, your roll resistance will be similar to that of when you had a 10kg spring but your ride quality will now have improved due to the 8kg vs. 10kg spring.

I hope that makes more sense. Simply installing these and expecting them to reduce ride harshness is not what they are about.

We are revising our current design and do not offer the RCAs presently but we hope to have them available within the next couple of months. Previously, they were sold for around $200.00usd.

im not sure what "kg" my springs are but i do get what your saying to an extent

either way they sound like a good investment

Racing angel keep us posted as soon as your product is ready! Really interested.
A question here. If you remove the stock ball joint will this be reusable afterwards?
