Spoon N1 or keep my skunk2

all exhaust sizes are given in external diameter

60mm/2.5inch external diamater are the same size and have an internal diamater of 58mm/2 3/8 inch

i have seen cases where cars have gotten slower switching to N1 over skunk2 and buddyclub systems

i dont rate the N1 at all unless you want to stick with your standard mid pipe and fit an N1 axle back

ahhh :) that could be an option, keeping my skunk2 mid pipe and get a N1 back box and just get the bottle neck cut out.

I do like my skunk2 system and it sounds good, performs well but I am just not a fan of the big can :( I much prefer the look of the spoon
 
is the N1 really that raspy? I've been thinking about buying the one off my mate. plus his isn't that raspy at all. It's like the lovely deep tone

So the mega power is 2.25" internal?
I think everyone on here makes too much of the bore in the exhaust tbh.
Yes a larger bore is better but only up to a point. What size bore does the dc2 run? I'd say aslong as its no less a bore than that then its going to be less restrictive due to silencer design.

Well my mate markp off here has a N1 on his dc2 and by god is it loud and raspy!!! He also has a 2.5" mid pipe with a centre box, but it is silly loud haha

well 2.36" to be exact :p Yeah I am sure the best system for a b18c is 2.5 internal I have heard. Just dont want to take the skunk2 off if its going to lose power, I wouldnt mind just changing even the back box for now as I dont think that will make too much of a difference :)
 
Yeah I think you'll be fine.
I've gone from 2.36" inner to 2.5" inner on my b18 and haven't noticed any gain or loss
 
Thats good to know then :) hopefully should have a b18c in the jordan later this year, well thats the plan!

Spoon N1 looks so good, i love how its neat and tidy poking out the back, also the outward rolled tip looks Wicked.

Here's a video of mine on my EK4. B16A2, Comptech Header, Decat NOT baffled ;) Spoon B pipe and Spoon N1.. Air intake setup was a modified OEM Airbox turned on its side with a cold air feed.

Spoon N1's are raspy, poppy and quite high pitched...
 
have both systems, i prefer the megapower all day long

I love the sound and performance of the megapower just not the looks of the backbox :/

IMO the Spoon N1 looks unlike any other exhaust it is very unique, and fits the Civic rear bumper perfectly with room to spare..


Skunk2 - yeh may sound good ..... but my god is it a boring looking exhaust. they just look like a cheap ebay knock off with their stupid, tacky looking silly 90's slash cut 4.3" tip that over crowds the rearbumper so much it ruins the rear of the car.
 
^ agreed, the boyz exhausts is the same. Prefer the smaller tip.

Correct! because my jordan has the type r rear lip the spoon would sit perfect with it!

Skunk2 great exhaust just the big can kills me everytime I look at it, feel like I am a 17 year old in a corsa with a 4" slash cut exhaust haha
 
Dude, if you're going to be getting a custom midpipe and cutting up a spoon backbox, just get a full custom system and get it made to look like a N1. Probably more cost effective and can have it made exactly how you want. My exhaust is from Billy at CAS, give him a ring, you wont go wrong.

I know what ur saying, my matw had a N1 rep made by billy and it was a good system and I dknt fault his work it is top class his work! But I want a genuine spoon backbox because I dont like the bigger welds where the tip joins the box on the reps if you get me, I like the spoon as you cant really see the welds :p just me being picky haha but the centre section I will be going to billy as always :)!

Haha, i get you man, fair enough! Im getting a center section made up by him on wednesday, cant wait! He made my backbox too, so will be nice to have a full system by him haha.

I think normal price is 170 odd man, I got mines at cost price though because my old backbox was one of his too.
