Spoon EK9

I didnt find the B16b boring but i preferred the B18C soooo much more. A K20a would just be sweet as.

i agree with you dan i preferred b18c6 to the b16b but if i could i would change again to a k20, sumthink for 2010;) :secret:

Have u ever been in a EK with a turbocharged B18C? I bet THAT make the K20A look like snail rite? My point is that it ruins the originality of the car itself.....i believe other then the performance of the car itself alot people still favors the EK9, simply cuz of, everything inside that makes the car, a EK9, the originality, the identity of itself.

I know what you are trying to say because i had all this with my starlet because i put an MR2 turbo engine in as appose to the stock 1.3 engine. Although i believe its a mixture of jealousy as many couldnt afford it and some just believe it should be a 1.3. Although how can you comment if you have never been in a 2.0liter starlet?? Anyway.......

I personally dont agree with the fact an engine swap changes the cars identity. An engine is a power plant its not the car itself. Thats why so many manufacturers share engines. Is an Audi R8 V10 a lambo? Is a golf a seat Ibiza? is an Audi a golf??? I dont buy a car because of its engine, i buy it because i like it. And if the engine can be improved, why not...

The engine does change the character of the car i will agree And if in a negative way then fair enough but if you are bettering the feel and performance(which a K20A apparently does, and well) then........ :nice:

You guys are all haters...this hatch blows every1 of ur civics out of the water ! ! !

I wouldnt go that far mate. There are some powerful ones one here.

lol. Total pish.

For people slagging k20's theyv obviously never been in an ek/eg k20. Im hopefully gonna swap b for k series in a year or so. K24 is the way to go, 260bhp and over 200lbs ft easily achievable on a mild build.
