Wondering (proberly sounds daft question to most) could I buy a spoon Ecu and just plug it in? Or will it need mapping into my car? (from a set up car, 2nd hand )

Thanks

You need a knife and fork for it to work properly. j/k. Its just plug and play :nice:

I'm not 100% on the OBD difference between facelift and pre but you will have to make sure it's the right one for you car. Will be either OBD2 "a" or "b". If it's different it's not to much if s problem youngest need to get a conversion harness. There are plenty around to buy.

On a b16b the spoon ecu is not a massive gain. The b18cr responds quite well though. One of the best simple bolt ons you can do. : nice:

There is a comparison thread on here I'll try and find it for you.

Waste of money. get something that can be mapped properley.

Unless you don't have the money for mapping. Or if your in a remote area were there is nobody that does mapping.

I recon it's one of the best and easiest mods to do for the money. Those graphs are the proof.
I instantly noticed the gains when I fitted mine. Plus better mpg.

That is our problem in Gibraltar.. couple friends have tried mapping their Neptune ECU's and its not the same as getting it done by someone who is constantly fiddling with them using different mods etc..

i hve the Spoon ECU and it works well with my bolt on mods :))
