Thread tidied up guys, keep the discussion to PM between the 2 of you before things get out of hand
remove the hose from the back of the caliper, have someone press the brake pedal and if fluid comes out you will know there is no blockage in the brake lines and it must be the caliper itself
it's not uncommon for spoon calipers to become seized - in the 15k miles i had mine on the car i rebuilt them twice as the pistons were sticking. However this can differ depending on weather and pads used etc etc etc
if it is the caliper sticking i would suggest rebuilding both calipers - makes sense, if one has started to stick then the other may do soon. spoon sports europe can source you a new seal kit, they would have to be seriously knackered to need new pistons so wouldn't worry so much about that
as for them being second hand goods etc, this is the problem with buying second hand goods, you have to take someones words for the condition etc so there is always a risk
i suggest you look into it a bit more to find a resolution to your problem then discuss with sammy via pm or phone etc if need be
