My knowledge is limited about brakes and suspension, so my question is...

Why should I buy spoon calipers if they use oem pads? :nono:

Am I missing something?

:nerv:

Rvm spoon calipers use oem ''size'' pads so you can use any aftermarket pad you would normally use in the oem caliper:nice: i.e you could use a a froddo pad or endless or Mu and so on if the pad fits the oem ek9 or 98 spec teg it will fit a spoon twin block caliper

well they use 4 pistons instead of a 1 piston and slider assembly so they apply a more even/greater pressure to the pads. more even pressure should give slightly more stable braking as well as longer life from discs/pads
they weigh less than half of stock calipers
by looking at them they appear that they will be alot stiffer than standard calipers
they look sooooooooo cool :D

i'll post up a decent review once i've fitted my calipers and let you know how much of a difference they make :)

thats correct, having more pistons means better braking power

thanks for your answers :D

I'll look into this for you, but I'm pretty sure spoon brakes are not your best option.
