Alrite guys. I was just wondering how you wind back the odemeter on the speedo. Basically my importer deristricted and converted my 9 over to mph when I bought it, so I was thinking to work out the mileage in km and wind it back so it reads in miles instead.

Dyou reccon its worth if and how would I go about doing it?

Thanks

Didnt the importer give you a "certificat of speedo convertion" to varify how much is was corrected by?

sounds like what hes saying is that they have fitted a convertor/delimiter but have left the milage where it was when it was in KMPH.

Spot on mate. Sorry if I was'nt clear enough in my first post.
I'm just thinking for when I come to sell the car (not that I'm planning to do so anytime soon) that it would look better if the odemeter was in miles rather than km. I've got the original import docs etc that show what the mileage was in km when it was imported over, but I just thought it would be easier to wind it back to read in miles instead, now the cars been deristricted and reads in mph?

id like to know to as i aint paying some chump to do it in the future as it aint cheap

calculate the milage from the KMs. Take a photo with time/date stamp on your phone before doign it, take fascia out that surrounds the display cluster, then remove the 3x cluster retaining screws, disconnet all the plugs carefully not pullling on the wires. next you have to dismantle the cluster to get to the audometer unit. then you have to manually wind it back to the relevant milage. But being carful not to damage the mechanism. :nice:
