Hi all,

I have made a set of GRP speaker pods for my EK4 civic and have been on the car for nearly a year an i have had lots of interest in them. They are made for the larger 17cm speaker wich normally would not fit into the door card dirrectly.

I was approched at JAE to make a set of pods up for a ek coupe and i have now made a mold of them and i am gauging interest in selling them. They will not come covered or dynamated but ready for paint or covering like mine above.

I also can make these for EG EP3 and Delsol if there is any interest.

I am selling these for £110 delivered which is a very good price for what they are.

Please let me know, PM if you are interested.

Thanks,
James.

Is that genuine recaro material to match? Could you add a bit on for a set of component speakers?

Yes the material is from Capital seating, they covered them for me in the Alcantara Red. They look sexy and are a perfect match to the seats.

I can add a tweeter pod on the side of these but on the EK, the Pod is up buy the mirrors, and this is the best place for it as for the sound quality mate. I have a set of JL componants in mine with the tweeter in this place.

Would you be willing to sell sets pre-covered with the Alcantara Red? And if so what sort of price?

Be very interested if thats a possibilty...

I am not going to do this for one very good reason,
I am rubish as stiching!
Also the Alcantara is £85 per sq meter and so would cost around £260 for a set once i have sent them to capital and then back again. Capital charged me £50 to cover a set if i remember.

Can you show me what you mean about the pod? Pics maybe?

I know what he means, the small black plastic triangle that backs the mirrors. Imagine you have manual mirrors, its where the handle would be to adjust them that is where the tweeters go of course it will be explained alot easier with pics :)

Looks great man, I'll definately be considering this mod. I'll get back to ya :D

I've already done this. Mine were just a set of surface mount tweeters from Maplin Electronics that cost around £10

I then removed the door speakers as they werent needed anymore.

so you dont have door speakers?
That wont sound very good cos youv just got vocals??? You need a set of componants in the front mate.

Anyone interested in a set?
