So, who uses there Ek9 as there daily...


i use mine daily, stripped, stiff as hell, plated diff etc i love it! need to behave though i smashed through 20,000 miles last year :|
 
Mines a nice day car, even though I cant remember the last time I had it out!
I've got a 306 hdi for my daily. 163bhp and 275ftlb so still makes it good driving to work. Plus at 60mpg I can't moan :)
 
I daily my ek hatch, but she is an ongoing project

Slowly breaking my bones more an more as she gets stiffer lol
 
eg6 sir daily put 21k kilometers on it since April, its not a driveway ornament :)
 
only on weekends now thank Christ!

clunking round corners with a plated diff realy grinds you down on the daily commute lol
 
I've always had a daily car and a fun car....considering getting rid of the diesel and just using the EK9 now though...it's economical and practical enough to cover all bases to be honest. It is a shame to put miles and wear & tear on it but as allready said....it is just a Honda Civic when all is said and done!
 
So what MPG can you expect to see on a stock EK9 with a fresh service and ran on Shell Nitro + ( All of my cars are religiously ran on Shell Fuel)

Thread update: I drove my car for 1500 miles in summer 2012. I havnt driven it again for the last 18 months. I will maybe get to drive it again in Sep 2014.

I reguarlly get 27mpg urban and 37mpg on motorway trips.

For to and from work I'm usually putting in around £55 for every 250miles.

Plenty enough mpg for the smiles it brings!:))

Mine was a daily for 2 years until I got 2 big dogs and needed something more practical to take them about, so now the 9 sits in the garage all tucked up :nice:
 
using mine as a daily atm but looking to buy a new daily and have this one for weekend / track stuff :)
