Thought i would discuss a little problem I'm having with my current daily driver as this forum is quite diverse :nice:, i have a 2009 320i se with the n43b20 engine.

Its currently suffering with alot of engine hesitation with low rpm (1500-2000) whilst under load (more gas or a hill), and occasionally a engine check light lights up. Personally I'm thinking of the maf sensor or potentially a coil pack problem myself - I'm still yet to get the obd reader out to see if there are any codes.

Just wondering if anyone else had experienced or heard of any similar problems.

Cheers

U need a better code reader , yr one will might only read eobd basic codes .

Im driving a 2007 325i and all it does it tickl like a steam train even after a full service

Agreed with above. Lights = codes but an elm327 wont cut the mustard. Needs to be a bmw capable unit. Coilpack is very very likely. Mates 2008 320i ate two inside of 3 months.

Thanks for the replies, unsure on what his code reader actually is - He said it reads his 08' E92, so may work.

Just need to grab it when I have a couple of spare mins! :nice:

got the Code P0303 from his reader, Misfire from cylinder no. 3.

Time to swap the coil plug/harness to another cylinder and see if the fault changes, will do all spark plugs while i'm there.

Touch wood the fault changes cylinder, else it could be a dud coil pack or blocked injector.
