Slight problem..

right. on my luch today the car was idling as it should then the temp gauge went sky hi (over 3/4 ) turned the heaters on to cool it down and it was just cold air blowing through. so i went for a quick drive and the gauge dropped to where it should be and hot air started flowing through again. while im driving its fine? any ideas folks

Thermostat? Blockage in cooling system? Radiator? Fan switch broken?

Check thermostat first.
My one happen before and VteC not kicking as well.

hits vtec all day long and doesnt over heat plus the fan comes on when it needs to. will have to check the thermostat
