Hi guys, recently my old exhaust manifold was so corroded that where it bolts to the cat it came off which you can imagine was making hell of a noise, I was only driving with it like it for a few days until my new manifold arrived.

Now its all fitted and working again but only problem is the vtec is hardly noticable now, if you listen carefully you can just about hear it, but with my tegiwa whale shlong it used to sound awesome and rediculously loud.

Problem? or should i not be worried about it?

Any idea's anyone? just took it out for a spin, doesnt feel down on power, just the vtec crossover is barely audiable now when it was loud as hell before

thanks lads, i still have no idea why its gone quiet though bit of a mystery.

If the lambda sensor was exposed to the air which it would have been (cos thats where my downpipe had snapped) do you think it could have been reading high o2 levels and altered the air/fuel ratio? im no mechanic as you can tell lol but thats the only thing i can think of

If its all still attached properly then yes it'd alter the air/fuel ratio as it'll think its running too lean
