Skunk2 or tegiwa


Have a browse on our website, quite a lot on there that only we do. Some carbon parts, brake stoppers, torque dampers etc but yeah. You should try coming into the market late and trying to re-invent the wheel. It doesn't happen. Look at any company and most things are 'replacement parts' as in Honda parts that have been re-engineered or re-designed.
 
Just had a look through your website, seems its all copies of named brands who put in the effort with r&d.

Another exhaust to consider is privatelabel exhaust systems, Scott at h tune has just posted pics up on his Facebook page and the prices are very tempting.
 
No, some things instead of copying could have been designed better if some r&d had been used from the start. Ie the cusco copy mcs that you do, they could have been redesigned to stop whale p#nis intakes from hitting them.

Any way this is getting off topic, just letting the op know that there's other brands out there that are not rip offs of someone else's hard work and designs.
 
I'll admit we DID copy the Cusco MCS 4 years ago...

And yes we did copy the TODA header as it IS the one to beat! We havent done that but we are as close as it can be without making it unaffordable. Not everyone has £800+ to spend on header

But say you have between £0 and £600 then I think ours is the best! I honestly believe that.

so you are just the same as the far east copies! just your adding a whacking amount on top.

no R&D to make your own orginal manifold. your manifolds will have proven gains due to toda's R&D

its just a expensive knock off.

dont mean to be rude but while your at it you should try and recover your reputation out on other fourms due to poor copies and poor customer service!

I dont understand people crying about copying a proven design

Fair enough tegiwa are gaining from another companies r&d but the way I look at it you are getting a manifold that does the same job for half the price!

Does tegiwa offer a discounted price for the manifold to forum members?
 
Yes you're getting something cheaper but at what cost ? If people always buy the cheap knock off like tegiwa then the company who designed them will go out of business.

Means no new parts will be developed and eventually companies like tegiwa would go bust as they're not designing their own parts and will have no one else to copy.

It's a very good replica product with proven gains.

Since when has the alpha been good? Test have shown A TODA rep is better.
Also you won't actually see our headers forsale anywhere else unless they are being sold through our network of dealers.

If anyone is going to Japfest please come over and witness the quality.

Guess where these have always been made? The UK
Guess where they are made now? In House

Shall I explain the process?

Program is made on Featurecam for our Haas Vf2
We call a metal stockist for 31.75mm 3mm wall 6082 box section.
We then have three program's for the varying length of bars
The bar is complete in two operations
Once the bars have been machined they get sent locally to get a brushed finish.
Meanwhile we machine ends from angled 5mm 6082.
Two ops again on these
Once these are done and the bars are back they then get sent to Manchester to be anodised. This takes about a week.
Stainless steel bolts and nuts are sourced locally
Then once everything returns it is packed into boxes in house.
We then photo parts in our studio to sell

FYI we have never had anything machined offshore.

We are actually in a position now where once the new CTR comes out we will purchase one immediately so that we can develop parts from the off.

You have to remember as a manufactuer of Honda parts we are very late in the game. Even for cars such as the EP3 which is newer than the EK.
 
Don't know why everyone is going on at tegiwa, there making reps of stuff so people can afford it. If its proven gains what's the fuss?
Im not arguing I just don't get why people need to go on at them. If people like tegiwa wasn't on here people would moan that toda etc are to too expensive and need a cheaper option.

^^ Agreed. Give Tegiwa a break. At least their reps are of quality, made in the UK/in house.

As said they are relativley new on the seen so although they are largley making replicas, im sure they will diverse into their own original designs with R&D. Especially when they employe more CAD designers *cough* like me!! lol.
 
X3 I would far rather pay half the price for a part that does the same job while still being of high enough quality that it will last

For example, Going out and buying a brand new toda manifold is nearly the same as a monthly wage for most people! Its a crazy amount of money for a few bhp, people are to worried about names instead of trying what works

Is there a members discount for the manifold tegiwa? Also whats happening with the ek mugen airbox?
