hi, just wanted to know wats the diff between skunk2 pro series and ITR intake manifold. i'm planning to get one but dunno which one more cost effective. pls, can anyone giv me an advice? thanks.

Im not sure about now but the old Skunk2 inlets were modeled after the ITR manifold so there wasnt really any difference...

They `ve changed the newer ones slightly but im not sure how much of a difference it is compared to the ITR item.

From what i remember the Pro looks like it has slightly longer runners, and a slightly larger plenum, i didn't pay too much attention when i installed sorry :(

i've got a pro series on my d15b goes alot better than a mates d15b that standard .

From what I understand about reading up on it, etc like Blinx said, they runners are tapered and are increased in size along with the plenum, and a smoother transition between the runners and plenum, also read before that 4# runner had been redesigned to some extent..

Just what I know on the matter + got one for sale

thx for the information guys, now i got this problem is if i choose either one of these intake manifold, i dunno wat size of tb to match wif, 66mm, 68mm or 70mm. of course if i buy itr intake manifold it comes wif all the parts which is tb, injector, etc. but if i buying sk2 intake manifold, i hav to buy another tb to match it. any advice guys?? now using b16a intake mani. does it gain hp if i change either one of these intake manifold wif my current engine b16a head with b20b bottom? please guys really need ur help.

I sure hope you have some sort of engine management in place to tune here.

There will be some gains to be had but it has to size up properly.

If you know for a fact that you won't be using cams any more aggressive than OEM Type-R, then you're better off using a smaller throttle body.

Oversimplified - you want a large intake manifold and a "small" throttle body - high velocity filling is what you're after.

If you were to keep the 16A manifold, I'd opt for the 70mm throttle body.

It all depends on what you envision your overall finalized setup to be.

thx for the advice ragingangel, btw, which setting u recommend for this engine, anyway i'm using emanage for tuning. in fact in future, i was planning to swap a b18c-r engine, perhaps itr tb wif sk2 intake manifold will be more better than with b16a tb? now i've decide to buy the sk2 intake manifold, which tb will u recommend??

I recommend getting rid of the e-manage....

as for the TB - 66mm is plenty for the S2 manifold and stock 18C motor.

if you had the means to remap the ecu, then there would be some gains...otherwise, a pretty nifty powerloss is what I've seen till all the way up past 7000rpm then you gain about 3whp.

Even the ITR can benefit from using the 16A intake manifold. The power and torque is noticeably better just that the power dies when it hits 7000rpm.

Some have speculated that a cut open/ported 16A manifold with a large throttle body might outperform the stock ITR manifold for an 18C

sorry for the late reply, buy getting rid the emanage? how i gonna tune it whereas my bottom part is stock b20b?
