Short Shifter

i have i short shifter on my ek4 and its **** hot. the gears feel so close. it was just a cheap one off ebay but it centainly does the trick. when i get my car back lume you can get a shot to see what it feels like :nice:

cheers adin thats good. so does it fit ok. cos iv heard of some hittin the exhaust witch puts me off havin one. what make and how much bud. sounds like they are ok
 
sweet thats a bargen. colour looks cool lol. im away to buy one rite now see how it is for myself lol and i will let u all know in a few days what i think. at the end of the day if i dont like it it dont matter only cost £13 ha ha
 
yeh thats what i thought. least your not waisting like 60 quid on a spoon one and then you dont like it.
 
be careful!! ive heard of ebay ones literally snapping in 2!!
 
I would save the £13 and skip the ebay crap altogether, you don't want your shifter snapping on you. If your doing a shifter mod just do stiff shifter bushings on the stock rod, you will have much better shifter feedback. With the shifter at stock height, it will be closer to your hands on the steering wheel, making up for the slightly longer throw. Thats why Curcuit Hero makes a shifter extension and any professional drag car has the shifter right up high.
 
yeh but with those shifters up high, they normally have sequential boxes! :p

let us now how the shifter fits/feels lumek4
 
fitted fine on my ek and feels great so should be fine with lumes. let us know how it goes anyway
 
Just be careful not to slam it too much. The last thing you want is for it to snap, then the shifter slitting your wrist.

Not saying that it will happen to you, but it has happened to others.

Saying that though, if you just shift normally, should be fine :)

yes i will do. just waitin on it comin prob be about a week u know what ebay is like sometimes lol

im going to do a build up of me fittin it step by step not that they are hard to fit but there mite be someone that dont know anythin about cars and would like to know and see it done
