I've got a 96 honda hatchback cx, I love the short shifter in it now and I'm a cheap ass... I don't want to buy another one and was wondering if I can use this shifter with the integ linkages? I'm doing a swap and wanted to know if I could still keep it.... thanks guys

it's possible..but you might need to shim it with some washers on each side.

Hmmm I wonder if anyone has tried it..... well I guess I will see once I do the swap... thanks guys

I have just now brand new packed short shifter, and it says for Honda Civic 88-00. Then you can!!

the problem with most shift shifters is that they are universal. Some of them require the shift fork to be expanded (SOHC) and while others like the DOHC require washers to make up the space. This generally leads to some play or stiffness in the linkage.

Personally, the stock dual bend with shifter bushings is plenty good imo.

i use the dual bend shifter an linkages from an itr in my eg6 find the throw between gears to be perfect distance an its a nice smooth linkage too:D
