I couldnt see a spring causing a grind. You will more than likely need to change 3rd syncro and 3rd/4th hub. If its grinding its going to be damaged

I couldn't see the picture on my phone earlier but looking at them now there is definitally something wrong. Have you taken anything off the shaft because the square bit on the side of the brass syncro is not located into the slot in the hub. This would not happen unless the gears etc have been moved up the shaft allowing it to slip out of position

The springs should be round aswell

That looks odd, it also seems larger than it should be.

i just took off the springs and took some more pics

Can't make out the pics to well, is that two rings together your holding?

Bad burs on the selector sleeve teeth ! Needs to be changed.

so if the syncro spring looks totally different from the next wouldnt that cause a problem ?

Yeah it can cause a grind as the sleeve is not acting on it when pushing the synchro or pop out of gear as there is no interferance fit there between sleeve and synchro.

But what causes the spring to wear like that is bad teeth on the selector sleeve which you need to check , and also fully check the synchro itself.

Usually Id change the whole 3rd/4th hub , sleeve, synchros and springs when its like this.
