RoCo crx time attack car

Update:

finally got to do some interior. Fitted the Dash. I was luck that Roco had another EF in the garage without rollcage. so i was able to measure everything so got a good fit.

Ran the loom inside from the engine bay. gives a wiretuck look and also there is no room for the engine bay fuse box!!

Awseome work so far, really really loving it.

I'm very impressed with the Fab work. I take it that RoCo can do just about anything? I'll be looking for a place like that once I save up enouth for my new project, will be either a Charged K20 EF9 (As I'll still have the B16B one) or a Datsun 240Z to be RB26'd and a place that can do all the chassis and swap work would be awesome.

Thanks, I had a look at their website, they have some good projects.

I will be in touch when the time comes. :nice:

With running so much castor will you not have problems with bump steer? Thats an interesting design too, what made you go that way over the conventional traction bar setup?

I see you have Roll centre adjusters on the front, I've always wondered if there is any way to adjust the rear roll centre? I'm sure I've seen it done on an old vid with a EF8 and EF9 in it.

possible bump steer. i wont know until testing... but with such adjustable arms i can hopefully find a good balance. :nice:
I have seen the conventional traction bar set ups. the max castor was about 5 - 6 degrees positive plus i have dc2 front arms so making adapters would have been as much work ha ha. i am aiming for in around that but more if i dont run into bump steer hickups. The roll centers are a first for me but hopefully they will help as much as there supposed to. i have never seen them for the rear, im sure if i told Roco he could do something :nice:

Dials in. i have them mounted to just didnt take pics.

Teg R dials actually fit ok ish (rrfl:

i will get flush black nuts but at least it is secure

Had a few hicups with earths.... i hate earths!!!!!!!

the main earths from the battery, when i used an reputable multimeter it said it had a good earth yet the lights came on and off. so pissed. i started pulling the dash apart checking connectioons to no joy! then RoCo got me an unreal automotive multimeter that proved i was right and the earths had 94ohms resistance so just cheaned connection and it fired up first time

then bled out the coolent... ran 100%
