Hello! My names Alex and i hail from the wonderful place that is Essex!

Just recently got rid of my Evo 8 and now into EK9 ownership :woot:

Managed to pick up a 98 EK9 for a decent price with some nice modifications. Will pop a spec up but firstly onto the pictures as i know everybody loves a pic :nerv:

This is how it looked when i picked up about a month or so ago.

Wasnt a massive fan of the OEM wheels so i got in touch with type-r dunk as he had some white TE37's fitted with R888's for sale at a decent price. Picked the wheels, gave them a good polish then sealed them with some poorboys wheel sealant and got them fitted :naughty:

They even came with genuine Rays centre caps which was abit of a brucey bonus !

I also wasnt so keen on the dished OMP steering wheel that was fitted. So i removed it and fitted my special edition Personal steering wheel with lifeline snap off boss. Check out the Rasta stitching on the wheel

As for the spec it is as follows :

AEM V2 long arm induction kit
buddy club racing spec condenser
spoon 4-2-1 manifold
spoon N1 back box
rear lower strut brace
ferodo race pads in front
brake stopper on master cylinder
lowered about 20mm on springs with standard type r shocks (not sure what make springs are)
it has had a new clutch with a B18 pressure plate from a DC2 integra
solid front engine mounts
gear box is the standard EK9 box with LSD just had fluid changed using honda MTF
oil temperature gauge mounted on pillar mount
Personal Special Rasta Edition sterring wheel with lifeline snap off boss
black RECARO seats from DC2 integra

Also have a pair of Bride Brix II recliners but im unsure as to fitting them or not cause i find the recaros very comfortable !

First trackday is booked for next weekend so shall see how the car performs as into which direction i shall take it !

Sure there will be plenty more to come in the near future so watch this space!

nice steering wheel! clean looking ek9 aswell!

Wow you got yourself a cracker :wow: love the wheels ;) always had a soft spot for personal wheels.

Thanks dude, I find the personal wheel a lot nicer to hold than the omp one. Will be sticking it up in the for sale section one I hit 250 posts...some time next year I reckon :angry2:

What a cool steering wheel :nice:
TE37's look so good on an EK9.
Thanks bud

very nice

some great touches you've added which only improve it

Cheers mate, just been reading through your charged k20 thread :drive: very jealous...one day maybe!

Wheels look so good. Nice 9!

Cheers dude

looking good!

Thanks :D

Also having abit of trouble at the moment, speedo has stopped working and no sign of v-tec anywhere! After abit of searching and reading have come to the conclusion it's the VSS ( vehicle speed sensor) OR the wiring maybe somewhere.

Going to 'borrow' my cousins out of his civic tomorrow and see if it's that, fingers crossed it is as I've just picked one up from a member on here for a decent price!

To add the torment I have a track day booked on Sunday and will be a pretty shite day if the cars not working properly!

That's lovely and a great spec mate
