resonator box help please

hey all, just wondering if i remove the resanator box but keep the stock air intake do i have to put a cold air feed or will it be ok with it out one??

You could do without, but the cai feed is a very cheap way of winning power. Otherwise it will be sucking up hot air and hot air contains less oxygen per given volume than cold air. And less oxygen means less explosion means less power/torque. It's almost no trouble and almost no cost to install a simple tube to act as cold air feed.
 
thanks that answers everything so basically just get a cold air pipe and face it towards the air box where the resanator was and take it out the front bumper??
 
That's pretty much it. What engine do you have?
 
Resonators are there to lessen the noise so should give some increase in noise. I'd try to use 3" of 3,5" piping to your airbox.
