my mates car is needing a new axle to pass a mot, one of the wheels is offcentre after going up a bank (these women drivers! :p) and im wondering if anyones done this job before and has any tips for me?? i know where all the bolts are to take it off, undo brake lines, handbrake cable etc but i dont wana take it off and come across something im not sure about. especially as its torsion bar and i hate them things!

also if anyones close to midwales and has one please let me know, long shot i know!

:thanks:

there pretty easy to do. done about 10 of them now haha. Well its just 4 bolts to drop the axel actually off. you need to take the rear callipers off, unclip the handbrake cables, depending if theres a load compositor you will need to undo the brake lines from that. you will need 2 people really to put the axel back on but you can hook it on the fuel tank as there a little lip it will sit on.

Once you start doing it you will see its pretty easy

thanks for that mate, appreciated :nice: worst bit is thinking about the job before hand specially with no manual in front of you! glad to know its not a nightmare

cheers!
