I gonna change all the bushing in my car.
where shall i buy these, would they be expensive also does anyone have the part numders for these??
Thanks Colm

what do you want? stiffer bushings or you just want oem ones?

energy do full bushing kits for 200 odd euro

if i had the money id love to replace all bushings and joints for OE ek9 items

probably be like 3k going by honda's prices for wishbones

gonna start with the ones in the rear as theres a knocking when i go over pot holes and bumps. then do the front..

I'm also looking to replace the bushings but just in my suspension for now. Where can I buy bushings just for the suspension and how much are they roughly? sorry to jack your thread bud

hardrace for great compromise on quality and price, will make car little harsher though

if price is your only concern and not really bothered about quality or longevity and irrittions you get with es quite often then go for them

I'm after quality myself. Just need something good on streets/roads. It's my daily car so don't want it to be too harsh

honda would be very expensive for these parts, hardracing ones are meant to be good quality and good price

I'll mirror the above comments about hardrace bushes and also the service by dohc garage on ebay :)

BUT

Wouldn't run the RTA bushes that come supplied with the kit, they are incredibly stiff, on par with poly bush stiffness! Honda designed the RTA to be able to move slightly under heavy braking to improve stability and maintain some compliance in the ride. Fit some new oem RTA bushes in rather than the hardrace ones, I chose to use mugen ones which are only slightly stiffer than oem.....

Also if you are getting a fair bit of knocking over bumps this could be down to ARB drop links and tired top mounts/dampers

tbh, you're best to save up a bit more and do EVERYTHING in one, not just the bushes but also the drop links, ball joints and track rod inners/outers

I did this and the car really does feel super tight :naughty:

I fitted a full Energy poly bush kit to my ek3 when I had it and it felt great after it. It was my daily driver and it wasnt a harsh ride. I had tein coilvers, mfactory LCA's and ARB kit and strut braces front and back and it was awesome on the B roads! :)

But what Steven says above sounds perfect, that is exactly what I would do now. :) Excellent advice Steve!

fitting a complete energy suspension polybush kit this weekend... hopefully will solve some of the handling issues my car has (bushes are knackered)

What are RTA bushes?? Sorry for the obvious question
Is the hardrace kit that much better than the energy bush kit??
was looking into getting the energy kit, what being in the kit is what i want! My 9 is a daily drive and dont want to make it to harsh

RTA = Rear Trailing Arm bushes.
I replaced these just after buying my car, made a big difference, well worth doing. I used OEM parts, which are designed to have a slight bit of flex in. As StevenEK9 says; these or the mugen ones will be best for road driving.
Parts are same as lots of other cars use apparently.. Even put them on CRV apparently! My local garage charged me about £140 + i had wheel alignment done aswell which is recommended.
Mark.

I'm just loking to replace the bushings in my suspension for now. Still confuesd, don't know which to go for and where I could get bushings for just my suspension.

if you check on the funkypower website they sell the energy kit and tells you everythin you get in it. check in the vendors section on this forum and it tells you all about the Hardrace bushes on sale.
Since you have an EK9 I wouldnt even bother fitting a full bushing kit, it doesnt need it! UNLESS, the bushes are worn that is!:nice:

just use OEM ones mate!:nice: call honda for a part number and order from Lings.com

I would go with hardrace full set...ES are usualy just inserts, not full bushings with shell.
