want a bit more noise and raspiness have a full mugen system and mugen twinloop and a empty cat i was wondering if i got the silencer removed from the b pipe would it be louder and raspier

i dont think removing a silencers will make it raspy, try geting a really cheap decat

Removing baffled silencers will make a more raspy sound. Mugen b pipes are worth their money so its more economical to sell or PX for a straight pipe. Replacing the gutted cat with a straight pipe will help. If that still isnt enough sound, replace the twin loop with something more offensive like N1, 304 or even spec 2.

i just want a bit more noise and some raspy sound i can always get the silencer welded back into the catback but will taken it out make any difference to the noise

x2 removing the centre silencer will make it noiser i did this on my old corsa LOL I no not sure it will be raspy though. The mugen is not a noisy raspy system. If you want to keep the back box look then sell your b pipe and get a custom straight through pipe with a non baffed decat made up.

Tbh i dont think the mugen is the right system if you want noise but what ever you do do not cut up a perfectly good genuine mugen b pipe  they are very expensive and plently of people who want a subtle performance system will pay good money for a twinloop system. even if you welded it back together afterwards its not the same.

how much would u say i could sell the b pipe and back box for ?

i dont want it extremely loud like a spec 3 or n1 just a nice raspy note and atm its very quiet i can here the engine over the exhaust

Have a look around you have a very specific sound your after so look on youtube for similar exhausts and see what you like the sound of. Japperformance parts are selling DC2 twinloop cat back's for around £475 so a little less than that might be a good start or your could advertise for swaps plus small amount of cash your way?

you'll love the sound of my new set up, :non resonated decat and buddy club spec 4 system, raspy is the word, sounds nice driving normaly and in vtec its fookin crazy ! i'll get a vid up soon for ya :D but as said dont start cutting up the mugen should sell it and get something else:nice:
