As the thread implies, i've an issue with my central locking. When operating the central locking via the drivers door it operates fine, but from the key fob it just flashes the harzards and remains locked. Has anyone incurred this problem before and able to point me in the right direction?

I had a similar problem not too long ago where the remote c/l would just make a bleep (as the alarm gets armed/disarmed) but wouldn't lock/unlock the doors and the lights didn't flash (usually does when the button is pressed). I think it was due to letting the battery get down to too low a voltage as once I ran the car for a while, it started working properly.

What alarm/locking system are you using?

There's no alarm system on it, just the factory central locking system. I've checked the battery and fuses, no joy. Like I said, it works fine from the key, it's just the remote.

No one? There isn't even a fuse or any mention of a remote central locking system on the car. I've got no idea

It's prob the central locking unit box behind your drives side door car is gone??

The stock fob does not flash the hazards, sounds like a aftermarket system and the drivers door solenoid is faulty. They do fail a lot, pull the door panel off and you will see it (it's the bit that looks bodged).
Dunx

Sorry o hijack, but my fob locks the door fine but i literally have to be up to the glass to use it.

Does that mean that i just have to replace the battery in the fob?
