Regamaster fitment problem

finally got 3rd set today, fits wheels perfect (better than last set i received which were overly tight)

slightly loose on hub though about 1/4 -1/2mm but ill live with that, not prepared to send em back again etc as had enough, blue in colour so painted them black with some plastikote as stood out badly in blue, couple layers of paint should make them tiny bit tighter fit on hub + expansion with little heat when driving should make them tighter still

snapped tabs of as no use and look nasty anyway

these are also thick plastic compared to last set i got which were very thin so much better

so all sorted now and can drive with peace of mind

thanks ek9turbo for your info

Well glad you got it sorted. Its should be tighter wen the wheels squashing it against the hub anyway dude. Just for reference though I have to force the rings into the wheels with most as its always a very tight fit. as in feels too tight but does fit just.

:nice:

they were nice tight fit but prev set had to be hammered with mallet to force them in, current set are perfect in wheel

ok, does it feel any different? most people tend to lose alot of vibrations. Whats your experience with this?

absolutley no difference in feel, i didnt have vibrations etc before anyway but i didnt fit them due to that, in my mind wheels from safety point should sit on hubs not studs so im happy now

Well I finally got round to re-fitting my Regas with the spigot rings - but I don't think they are the right size :(

The 64.1mm ID fits nicely around the hub but the 67.1 OD seems too small - the rings can pass straight through centre hole of the wheel and there seemed to be a millimetre or so gap still.

I've kept the stock wheels on, and I guess I'll need a tool to measure the wheel properly or it's going to get very expensive trying different ring sizes at £17 a time!

Suprised that my Regas didn't work with 64.1-67.1 rings tbh.

Cheers,
Alex
