I've been looking about whilst driving and noticed most car plates have a "trimmed" plate and it somehow makes the car look far better somehow in my opinion.

The reason as to why I made this thread is because I want to know who knows how to get this done or any websites that provide this service, or if you can do it yourself. As far as I know, it's perfectly legal as long as the font and size is correct to the DVLA then I don't see what the fuss would be.

Hopefully someone agrees and gives me some info,
Cheers.

Dev.

As long as the spacing and font size is not changed it should be fine. So you can only do it to private registrations that are shorter than the standard ones.

Its just a normal plate that has the edges chopped off

The Number Plate Centre on Dumbarton Road will make you a set :nice:

Yeah I agree with what Martin said. We have the chopped Reg Plates here (Traffics are not fond of Jap plates unless they are on Evo's, scooby's etc in argyll) Any authorised plate makers/suppliers should be able to do it. And as said it's legal due to the font and spacing staying the exact same as its just a standard plate chopped.

Looks mint on a private plate though, pretty sure StevenEK9 has/had a private chopped plate on his 9. :)

Thanks lads, yes my plate is private I wouldn't do it to a normal stock plate. I'll have a look into that place to get it done, price any different?
