Hi ya'll, as some of you may know i put prelude calipers onto my EK4 lately.
With brand new 260mm discs, brand new redstuff pads, and EK9 carriers to bolt the caliper onto the EK4 hubs.
Had a few small problems;
The calipers had to be mounted back to front because the prelude handbrake cables are on the bottom, not the top like a civic.
This means the bleeding nipple is now on the bottom, so had to be taken off to bleed them. But this is all sorted, took them off, turned them round and then re-bled them, then re-mounted.
But now here is the main problem:
The driver's side caliper seems to be sticking on.
When i drive it at all, the whole thing gets really hot, wheel too!
I had the whole caliper off today and the piston screws in and out really easily, the new carriers are sliding perfectly. And the handbrake is not catching when the handbrake is off.
EVERYTHING is well copper greased up (Pad shim sliders, pistons, and back of pads etc)
Anyone have any ideas? I'm lost now!(
Any help much appreciated...
