right i have a ek4 with ksport 6 pot front breaks and 282mm disks, want to give a bit more balance so whats a good upgrade for the rear?

For good balanced all depends on front brake pads friction and piston area front caliper

There's only one OEM upgrade which is going 260mm discs with calipers and carriers from an EK9, Prelude, 98/UK DC2 etc. There are also a few aftermarket kits which allow you to run a larger rear discs with the normal EK4 caliper.

What are you running in terms of pads at the moment though? It could just be a case that you need to be running something a little better on the rear. Will work out a lot cheaper than upgrading plus saves you adding unsprung weight on to the car ;)

Check that you actually need to upgrade, because more pistons does not automatically mean more force. Those 6 pots don't usually have any more piston area than standard, so it might well be OK.

If not, then the rear 260mm upgrade is what you need.

I'm running yellow stuff pads and tbh the breaking force is unreal from the car the way it is, I'm looking to get it a little more stable the back not to kick out as much I might look into prelude callipers, do they need fabricated carriers?
