re-bore the b18

to have 2.0l you`ll need 89mm crank,137mm rods and 84mm pistons. Only way to do that with a B18C is sleeves. 95mm crank and 83 pistons on standard sleeves is a solution but you`ll need custom rods etc.

What is the biggest CC gains if you where to bore out the std block and say fit over sized pistons. Would it be worth it???

Not really.90cc`s extra and 83mm is limit afaik but gains would be worth while if combined with a 89mm crank. Pistons alone are not a good value for money put simple. My opinion.

Your better of just building a B20, it will work out much cheaper.

IMO no.

Id just build a b20 bottom end like Rich said.

agree as well. But if i had the budget i`d sleeve the B18C block. Far more superior than the B20.

Hard to find somewhere to properly sleeve and warentee a built block in the UK though.

great info above... :nice:
if you go the b20 route, you have parts available to you at a low cost for any repairs in the future. This is not an option if you go custom build b18 to 2.0, unless you have deep pockets.

same goes here. and even those few that warantee, when sleeves sink they go on bubbling crap about how it`s the owners fault etc.
