Not updated this in a while. Car is not long back from Automek who had it for around a month adding the finishing touches and tying up loose ends. They done a top notch job and cant recommend Andrew and his workers highly enough!
Down to business. I went back to an OEM DC2 manifold and OEM EK9 CAT as I wanted the car quiet again and matched up with the fujitsubo RM01A exhaust it is just that. Love it! So Automek fitted the manifold and cat along with a Set of Dual SPA guages to the dash. Moved my CD player down below beside the cup holder. They done a lovely tidy job. The gauges read Oil Temp and Voltage and Fuel Pressure and Oil Pressure. They look the nuts, especially at night!
Also fitted an Outlaw Engineering Thermal gasket kit. Was a bit sceptical about this and wasnt sure if it would fit but Andrew said it fits perfect and is a great piece of kit. Nice new gaskets and shiny bolts for the TB, IM and IACV!
I had already had the bungs welded to my valve cover so Automek finished it off by plumbing in the braided hoses and mounting the B&R Catch Can. Looks great and no problems!
A couple of small silly things needed sorted like a missing nut and bolt from my alternator was fitted, one of the fog lamps wasnt working so got that fixed and the car needed a full geo set up. Andrew started this but didnt have time to finish but its to go back soon for a water temp guage, Aeromotive FPR and AEM fuel rail to be fitted so will get that all done together when it goes back.
After that it will needs the central locking fixed, a remap, so will go see Henry at triple H then need to address the dreaded drivers side rear arch that has a few spots of rust!
Car is driving great and pulls amazing with the short ratio gears but since Henry last remapped it on crome its had a new walbro fuel pump, koyo rad, map sensor, lambda sensor, new exhaust, the OEM mani and CAT and all thats been fitted above so it defo needs a remap. Dont give a **** about numbers anymore just want it running good and safe. The gears make up for lost ponies now anyway!
some pics I took at the weekend after a detail session with my mates CW FN2 (its for sale, check for sale section). The old and the new together!
some phone pics are poor sorry. Got a photoshoot with Paul Smith soon so cant wait to get some excellent pics of the car.
