racebase ek9 build up


a quick pic took today. Pulled the engine to tuck the engine loom and stripped the bay to prep for paint. Im starting to think i may paint it myself to save some cash, were in a recession afterall

Go for it paintings all about the prep take your time and you get a good result its always better if you do it yourself. looking good so far any idea on a colour yet
 
Cheers rob. I spent a good few hours scratching the bay up with scourers, i will jetwash and dry then de grease the bay next, before primer. That sound right?
As for colour, i think im going to stick with white to try and keep it sonewhat original
 
got some high build primer chucked on today, only 1 quick layer. they second will go on tomorrow after a quick flat then hopefully some white

went and had an hour on this tonight, got the bay wet flatted with 800grit, panel wiped through and a second layer of primer on it. also got the front slam panel stone chipped in white

nice build, would love to do something like this with my civic, just not the money, or another car atm
