questions about sway bar on EJ6 cx

ok .. so i was thinking of purchasing a sway bar for my car and i remembered i had a sway bar from a gsr ...

i was reading another forum where i guy used integra sway bar AND endlinks and mounted ... i save his pics to share with you all .. i jus want opinion ... do you think this is safe?? do you think it would hold off ?? all opinions welcome cuz i really would like to install a sway bar on it already .. and please no S#!T talking .. its not my car .. jus need opinions .. and also .. do you think maybe another type of endlink may work maybe blox or anything with that shape ...??

umm sorry about the title i meant to put sway BAR not way CAR lol oops :lol:
 
I would not do that.
It may fit but I don't think it will last long, rear end may rip away on a cx.

Boy oh boy, its not fun replacing the rear suspension when the bar tears away from the body--nor is it cheap. :nono:
 
thats all i needed to hear .. lol what are you running on yours?? do you know if the function 7 rear subframe is any good? i could get a link if you havent seen them ..
 
I have a cx also, using ST front 24mm with rear ST 22mm with ST rear subframe brace and i love it!!
 
I was interested in the F7 rear subframe becuz I was going to be picking up som F7 LCA's
And I wanted it to all match down there as well as look good . Lol .. But I also was asking if anyone had any reviews on the F7 rear subframe ..

Which brings up ANOTHER question ....... I have 4 lug .... and I have rear disk ..... if I wanted to convert to 5 lug I was gunna go with usdm swap ...

my question is .... can I fitt the F7 LCA's for 96-00 ??

They have conversion lca for 96-00 to fit the ITR rear shocks since they are differnet ... the ITR shock mounts in center of lca where as the civic shock mounts on the sides .. Hope im making sense ... lol ..

So basically will the regular lca work on the ITR RTA... I kinda wanna keep my shocks and not have to change out the rears cuz its now ITR lca ..

Damn I feel like I don't make sense lol ..
 
F7 [Function 7] from what I have read, makes really good high quality products. Matching components is going to look sick with all that webbing of F7! I don't like the flash as much as others do on the F7 [im getting old], but to each their own.

ST [Suspension Techniques] makes great quality products as well at a better value over Function 7.

I am running a 26mm front USDM Si sway bar and a 24mm ASR rear brace and bar. Not as elegant as the F7 products, but I am going after the sleeper look.

Also check out this link regarding compatible parts which you are asking about...a very good read.

sounds good do you think i would have a problem mounting lets say a ASR sway bar on the F7 brace? and i understand your sleeper look i thought you jus had a clean coupe until we started talking over these few days lol ... they also have these in black i think still with the webbed look .. ill see if i could find some pics .. but yea thanks alot tama666.. youve really helped me out over these last few days :nice:

Im not sure if the 24 bar will fit into the F7. But I think you can use the ASR bushings and bushing brackets with the F7, but you will need to double check.

...Function 7 sway bar mount adds rigidity to the structure of the car and will accommodate all factory and most aftermarket sway bar kits using almost any off-the-shelf universal sway bar bracket kits.

Hope that helps...looks like you need to call F7 and or ASR to sort this out.

Found this looking around for an answer to your question...
Si endlinks will work as long as the LCA isn't any thicker than the stock LCA. When running the Function 7 LCAs you need to use a longer bolt/stud for the endlink hence aftermarket links.

You know the ASR brace with 24mm bar combo cost less than the F7 brace without a bar. Well, from what I am finding this seems to be the case. Cost less to buy ASR brace and 24mm bar, and add on the F7 LCA's...but I would just leave the OEM LCA's alone.

So .. Now im thinking about jus getting the asr as uve stated .. It seems the most logical at this point ... so I can install those with jus my oem LCAs?? .. What endlinks have got rep ?

The ASR brace and bar combo comes with everything you need including the end links[high quality], it comes with everything!

I would recommend the USDM OEM 99'-00' SI coupe 26mm front bar.
