Private reg

Also at my last job there was a woman who worked in the offices with an Astra which had K20 SXY. Refused to sell it too.

Most K20 and B16, B18 plates are cheap on DVLA website.

Mine was £250 including the transfer fee

I love a private plate..I've got 5 :)

Selling one though as I don't use it anymore.

Seemed a good idea at the time ha ha

I like that! Don't have a new enough car for it though. Tegiwas plate on the fk2 is perfect.

I always think why would you want a plate that goes with the car? And not personal to yourself?

I agree..all of mine are personal to me

I disagree but only because it's not really my thing if that makes sense. Having my name on a car wouldn't really be for me but a plate that relates to the car is like the final piece of the puzzle. But it's money down the drain as theres no point keeping it if you sell the car and the buyer will use it as leverage, I've done it myself and said if you value the plate at X then take that off the asking price and sell it.

I'm with you @robthedoc.......not into the personal thing....I remember my name thanks!

I've also got M111L SP on a Aprilia RSV SP (known as a Mille)....only 150 bikes ever made, I've got number 125 :))

I only paid £160 + £80 transfer fee for my '9 one.....thought that wasn't too bad.....

That's cheap! Ive just emailed about mine now but... using the old reg system I think I have figured out why it isn't listed, might be wrong tho? If the first letter is lets say X can the first number be 0?

Totally agree with you, that and I've pissed off that many people with my honesty problem that having my name strapped to the car probably isn't the best idea!

That would be part of my problem too.....LOL !

I like the fact that it personalised the car to me..I know what kind of car I've got!
They've also been good for business as people tend to notice them and associate them with the company cars as they are being driven around.
It also means I can remember my number plate :)
Admittedly I bought the S55 Wad over 15 years ago to put it on a 555 Imprezza when I finally got one as I was obsessed by them. I never did get one ha ha

Remembering my number plate is a problem for me too bud. Managed to book someone elses car into the airport car park once. Just got it sorted out in time to make the flight lol. Now I always have to look out the window with the laptop in hand before putting it in. Have seen some cool business related plates though, theres a guy in Edinburgh with PUB 1 on his range rover, think he must be in the AA :meet:

Can you not remember what you are riding/driving?:))

Like it....:))
Seems there are two camps here, neither right nor wrong....personal choice....oh what it is to live in a (make believe) democracy! ;)
