so i bought this cx ek from someone and i dont have powersteering in it and i would like one in it because i hate driving with out powersteering. if anyone can help me list all the parts i need that would be great because im a new driver and want to know what parts i need to buy so i can have it installed

and for all of you people who are going to say this and i know you guys are. dont even comment if your going to say something negative please this has nothing to do with manning up and driving without powersteering. its just very unconfortable not using powersteering. im not a racer i just want my car to look clean and to have it be drivable.

Well, if going OEM, you will need a crank pulley with PS.
Pully with PS
PS pump
Belt and hoses
You may even need a steering rack, dont know if yours has hydraulic line hook-ups [do you see any?]

if i take a picture could u possibly tell me what i need?

i know i just want to know if there is a tutorial out there so i can buy all the parts i need for it and then having some help installing it. if it isnt to hard to ask. ;)

What do you need help with? "How to" with install?
Most people take off PS, not install it, lol.
Which may be a reason you are not finding anything.

Want what I am removing from my 00 civic b18C5? Pump, belt, hoses?
Not the pulley or steering rack, you will need to source them on Ebay or similar.

...let me know, you would pay for shipping if you need these parts I am removing.

ok thanks i will take a picture of it tomorrow i want it to have ps i live in the seattle area where parking is tight and i dont like no ps thaats why i want to install it if there is a tutorial on it, it would be nice if i could see it and a list with the parts

I know I'm late on this thread....

Make sure your tires are pumped up pretty high in the front at all times if you hate driving without PS. Don't neglect that it makes a big difference. How high? I would say don't let it go below 40psi.

Go to a junk yard, or find one online that has a junk civic from 92 up to 2000. Tell them you need everything to install power steering. Or go on any honda forums looking for someone who's selling the setup they just removed.

This is a very involved job, partly because the steering rack needs to be changed and that by itself is a lot of work. I would not have a shop do it they would charge you an arm and a leg.
