im researching the ek9 as much as possible before i commit to buying :)
so could anybody tell me as many performance stats on a standard ek9 as possible please
i.e. BHP, torque (ft lbs), 0-60, top speed with limiter removed, mpg. etc etc etc

also what kind of bhp is realisticly achievable without the aid of turbocharging or supercharging?

cheers in advance

185 Bhp
116lbft torque (i think)

i have had mine 145 mph @ around 8000 rpm on private road:nice:(GPS)
(this may differ between other cars) so assume 150 ish with a long enough stretch.

0-60 is quoted at 5.7 seconds

to be honest you have to take one for a "spirited" drive to understand why there is so much love for these little cars...seriously, figures mean nowt its the smile it gives you that counts:drive:

oh and 200hp is easily acheiveable, if your a pub BHP man then jog on as that is not what these cars are about, but if you drove a 200 WHP EK9 it would destroy a lot of much higher pwer cars

mate, i went from a 330whp skyline to an ek9 and im not even missing it, you have to drive one:nice::nice:

yes you may ask... so long as you dont laugh lol

its a 1.2 8v 1996 vauxhall corsa (best thing i could get for a first car)

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm Joking mate :D listen to Korupt....:win:

like said you aint ready for an ek9 yet i would get an ek4 first

I disagree, the accelerator isn't an on/off switch. If you want an EK9, get one. Not all young people drive like idiots.

My first car was a Civic VTi and I've never had an accident.

THANK YOU !!
trust me im not gunna rag the sh*t out of it 24/7. it'll be my baby :)

i'll spend more time cleanin it than hammerin it

dude a spec sheet doesn't do the EK9 justice, you have to drive one to experience how great the EK9's are, your vauxhaull would get owned in all aspects by a stock EK9, it will never come close to it.

even my car with 380bhp is not an on/off switch, its all about controlling the pedal :nice:

380bhp!? in an ek9?
what kinda 0-60 are you getting in that?

its a USDM ej6 converted to an ek9 for the most part, not sure about the 0-60 but if i could get traction i should run 11.50's in the 1/4 miles, its not really a drag car so i dont really go to the dragstrip to see what it can do. i built it to enjoy it, i drive it, i love it, i dont care what numbers it puts down :)

i wouldn't bet on that, once you got a taste of VTEC screaming all the way to redline you'll be addicted. :D

hey i went from a mazda 323f imola 1.5 sport to a daihatsu copen then to my beloved EK9. You will find it a stark difference from your current car, i would take it easy. you will find local chavs that live in your area try racing you an they will have no chance. all local chavs where i live no not to mess with the EK9!!!!

yeah i agree with alot of comments above.... Ive owned my 330HP 2.0litre turbo starlet for so long now and i couldnt imagine me enjoying something as much. Different ball game with the EK9.

It really is such a good car, its hard to believe.
