parcel delivery ??

any1 know any decent cheap parcel deliverys for a engine going from manchester to highlands??
 
I sent a gearbox from Kent to the Highlands using paisley freight arrived ok as far as I know cost me £60

You think that's expensive for an engine from Manchester to the Highlands??? Good luck finding it much cheaper, tbh I would expect it to be even more, I bet that doesn't include any reasonable insurance (it will be something silly like £1 per kg...), so to get it insured up to the actual value will make it even dearer. I would expect to pay around 100 quid for an engine to be delivered to the Highlands.
 
paisley freight got a bumper from mid wales to london in two days for £25, i thought that was pretty decent, got there in one piece too!
 
I use a pallet service and put it on a half pallet. Usually costs £30. Type in pallet comparison courier into google. I managed to send a full b16b conversion from cumbria to Austria for £130
 
Paisley Freight had some wheels of a lad on here arrived in a couple days. Think it was about £75 that includes insurance up to a value of £700

delivery was good and was quite quick although i did have to help driver take engine off from lorry which i found wierd as usually they have trollys and a lowering deck or 2 people in lorry appart from that was good service
