Painted Brake Calipers?

Just wondering if any of you guys have bothered to paint the calipers on your EK9's? Got her up on stands this week while I'm Waxoyl'ing (pics to follow soon, once she's had a good clean) but while the wheels are off was thinkin the calipers would look good painted red...

Anybody had any experiences with caliper paint before? Thoughts on how she'd look?

yeah my mate painted his on his c2 gt and it looked mint, don`t think he paid that much for the tin i`m sure he got it from halfords or somewhere similar. As long as you give them a good clean with a wire brush make sure get all the crap off. Worth doin though looks good.

i refurbished my rear calipers recently and gave them a clean up and lick of paint at the same time, was great as i did them off the car so could paint the whole lot. just used Hammerite "smooth silver"

against the blue pads goes very nicely with my front spoon calipers

i painted the 4 calipers on my ek9 red they came out mint i used hammerite smooth black on my new eg6 sir an they came out good....looks better than rust!!!!

i like them red. . . maybe cos they look like Brembo's! tho grey / silver look good too!

i might paint mine soon when upgrade to braided brake lines... jst wondering painting them (Hammerite) offers better finish than proper heat resistant spray paint?

Try silver or gold IMO.

I use black hammerite from a rattly can, looks the muts nuts

I used Japlac Signal Red paint from B&Q that cost about £5.
