Help please. I was going to take my mouldings off the use wet&dry 400 grit, grey primer build up, wet&dry 400 grit again, paint top coat, then clear coat. The paint i was going to try is halfords SSB dose anyone know if its good or actually matches. Or how much i would be to just get it done pro.

i also want to colour code my bumper strips, ive been adviced that after some time the paint on plastic strips could flake off.. however i have not tried this myself so im curious to what other would say.
instead of painting them i am looking for the type r bumper moulding strips which i can replace with the standard black strips

to walkersky - ive jst recieved your private message but i cant reply to it since i dont have enough threads.. some stupid message like that

i have a 1998 civic 3 door (not type r) if you can get me rpimed moulding strips and electric side mouldings i am interested in buying these! message me your private email if poss

I had all of my bump strips, skirts and new front lip done my a pro for i think £50! To be fair he was a sort of friend but still.....
The bump strip plastics take an awful lot of sanding and coats of primer I was told bu him to get a smooth finish. They have come out perfect, had no problems with flaking etc...

I want my side ones doing as im going down the smooth bumpers root :)

comment at the top.....

don't sand after you use primer.
sand it down with 400 - 800 and then 1200 and then use primer let the primer dry and pray onto primer.

this is what primer is desinged for.... i have never sanded primer off after i used it.. surely defeats the point of primer...
