Our two boost projects...

Bah, do a new vid man! Wanna see this thing ripping the tarmac properly.

When r u next at the pod?

Possibly, I havent decided yet. Got a party to go to that night and girlfriends car to fix that day too. Would be good to meet like-minded people though! What exhaust system you got on your car?

On the previous tuning sessions with the precision turbo, I was running a side exit 3''. Now with the GT35R im running full 3'' system, currently running to the rear axle, im waiting for my vibrant race muffler to finish it of. Yeh would be nice having a chat at some point, always good talking to someone about boost :nice:

Do you run the antilag function of your S300?
Im just trying to sort some things, hopefully Ill be able to make it to the pod, that and if weathers going to be good!:nice:

Yeh we use the antilag quite alot at pod, I wouldnt bother if you dont have good tyres though. Have you raced down pod yet?

Yeh I think im going to get some lines made up, but yeh it would be cool to know your friends view on this :)

i talked to my friend who works for Garrett, he confirmed my original guess, he stated anybody who is not running water lines and claiming there turbo is lasting is probably running around 10psi or less and even still it will affect the life of the turbo. He said those turbo's were mostly made to live around 25psi or more for the gt30 and 35r and at that boost level the shaft is spinning very fast and water cooling is an absolute MUST!

On the grey eg we used prada spec 2's which netted a flat 12 with 370bhp. And we used m&h slicks on 15'' wheel which got us flat 11 with 450bhp. I reckon we could have netted a high 10 if wasnt for a mis shift and the lack of runs.

Blinx, thanks for finding that bit of info at dude. I kind of came to the same conclusion myself, these turbos are hardly working at the 10psi mark. 20psi+ will defo need some cooling. I should have some lines made up next week :drive:

Oh btw, what do you guys think of my new wheels. Excuse the tatty bodywork, will be sorted next year:

The wheels look very different, what are they?

Most people run the turbo coolant lines after the throttle-body into AN6 to the turbo then out of the turbo and back into the thermostat housing where the throttle-body line would connect. otherwise you can connect it between the AICV valve and the black water pipe on the back of the block. Which is a better option IMO. Because otherwise your heating your intake manifold and throttle boy :nice:
Honda-Tech.com: Forced Induction: TURBO COOLANT LINE KITS W/BLACK FITTINGS!!!!!
inline kit is $99 from B&R fittings.

The guy is actually on this forum too 'B_R_Fittings' but doesnt have the coolant line kits listed.

The wheels are ROTA's :D

Yeh I think thats what I had in mind, use the water line from the back of the block and on the thermostat. Those B&R fittings are very nice :nice:

Those rotas come in blue like that or are they painted? looks pretty funky.

those are some new rota's that just came out not long ago and come anodised

So how did you get on at the pod? I couldnt go because I need new tyres and the supplier sent the tyre shop the wrong ones/ :(

I done pretty alright at 10psi, managed 12.6@122mph. There was 25mph head wind iswell. Better suspension set-up should hopefully help next time. Shame about the tyres dude, try come for street nationals on july 13/14th.

is that at the pod?

What tyres were you on to run a 12.6, that is fast man. I can only run street tyres as Im on stock EK9 suspension, no room for tall tires :((

Little update:

Ran a nice 11.7 yesterday on some slicks, this was only with 12psi. Power was probably around 370bhp :)
