hey there guys!

i'm about to embark on a clutch change (throw out bearing is noisy so i thought i'd change the clutch too while its out)

i was looking at the 309d, but then a friend offered me one of these for a price i couldnt knock back.

it's used, but he rarely drove his car (show queen ek9)
and from what he told me, it was only used 10-15%

now, has anyone on this forum experienced this clutch?

would like to get some feedback

i will be posting up pictures tomorow the actual clutch as he took it apart and took individual photo's of them for me.
so anyone out there with clutch experience please advise me on how and what to look for in a used twin plate clutch situation

thanks again ladies and gents

If it's any similar to my old clutch - wow. I had a OS Giken SuperSingle clutch and flywheel in mine (was imported with it on).

It was a very serious clutch, very heavy on the left foot and either on or off, with little biting point.

It ended up snapping the clutch release fork in 2 lol :nice:

Edit: Those pictures look similar to mine in all fairness

really?

wow, i always thought that the supersingle were more forgiving too..

and you ended up snappping the fork aswell?

now i've got second thoughts, maybe third

I think their may of been something wrong with the fork in order for it to snap like it did, needless to say its a great clutch and I would of kept it in if it didnt get stolen!

At the time it was my daily too, If the price is right for you, go for it :nice:

well the price for this clutch atm is 500 AUD shipped to my door

comes with bearing and all (full kit really)
guy said his traveled less then 8 thousand km's as his car was a show car (EK9 aswell)

i just need more opinions, cause looking at the clutch, there is a few bit of hotspots. dunno what causes it to happen so much?
